Berkeley Lab’s K-12 Program will host fun, hands-on STEM activities for middle school students at Sonder Creek Academy in Walnut Creek on Friday, May 12th, from 1:00-2:30 PM. This is an in-person opportunity, and transportation can be provided.
Sonder Creek Academy students will participate in the "Create your Own Circuit" activity. Students will get a short introduction to electronics and conductivity in this activity. Following a template, students can create a small circuit using copper tape, a button battery, and an LED. Once the circuit is created, the light can be integrated with a picture of the Advanced Light Source (ALS) on the opposite side of the circuit.
K-12 team members will be present to guide the facilitation.
