Please join volunteers on Saturday, September 18
th to clean the shoreline and waterways on the annual
Coastal Cleanup Day, which is also
World Cleanup Day, an event launched last year.
Last year's coastal clean-up was cancelled due to COVID-19, and this year they will be doing things differently to help everyone stay safe. We want to minimize crowding, while at the same time give people the opportunity to enjoy meaningful outdoor volunteer work in the fresh air.
There are two ways to participate: attending an event, or cleaning your neighborhood anytime in September.
This year, they will have staggered start times, to lessen crowding, and we will not serve lunch. There will be morning coffee stations, and plenty of healthy grab-and-go snacks.
Please wear a mask whenever you're close to others who are outside of your usual family or friend pod.

Your neighborhood clean-ups
Trash from our streets and roads flows downstream into the Bay, so cleaning up our neighborhood trash prevents polluting our Bay waters.
Gather cleanup supplies from home, download the
CleanSwell app (to count your trash, and to have your trash counted!), and clean on your own time throughout September.
Let’s join millions around the world on World Cleanup Day and clean our roads, parks, creeks and shoreline!
