Volunteers needed for Lab Booth at 2026 Juneteenth Festival

Description

On Sunday, June 21, Berkeley Lab is participating in the 39th Annual Berkeley Juneteenth Festival. Berkeley's Juneteenth Festival is the longest-running Juneteenth event in Northern California, and our participation is a valuable way for the Lab to share with the local community more about who we are and what we do. That's where you come in. As a volunteer, you will:

  • Serve as an ambassador for Berkeley Lab and its scientific research,
  • Help explain a kid-friendly hands-on activity,
  • Share information on ways people can engage with the lab,
  • Collect contact information for "Elements", Berkeley Lab's newsletter for members of the local community, and
  • Field any questions we get from visitors to our booth

The event takes place from 11am-7pm in south Berkeley’s five-block Alcatraz-Adeline corridor.
