Seeking Welcome and Lunch Hosts for High School STEM Days

Expired

Description

High School STEM Days are a once-a-month event for local public high school students to visit the Lab. This event; co-hosted by K-12 Programs at Berkeley Lab, is a chance to share what life in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) and STEM adjacent professions are like. This is an exciting opportunity to speak with students as they are deciding for themselves what it means to be a STEM professional.

We are seeking volunteers in all lab positions. All staff in STEM and STEM adjacent careers are welcome and encouraged to participate.

1. Welcome Group: Welcome students as they arrive on site the morning of their visit

2. Lunch: Speak with students during lunch. Share your STEM/STEM adjacent story at the Lab. Our team will provide desserts for speakers.

3. Group Guides: Accompany groups to their tour explorations. Make sure they get to their assigned area and help with interactions. This is your opportunity to see what else is happening at the Lab.
