2023 Sequoia STEM Fair

In Person STEM Fair Returns on Thursday, April 13th!

This is one of Sequoia’s most popular events! Located in Pleasant Hill, Sequoia Elementary students exercise their skills and knowledge in a subject that matters to them, in a competition of wit, personal discipline, and research skills. Students may work by themselves or with partners; students may also work with their teacher on a class project. 

We need your help to make this a success! The fair is a lot of fun and we need volunteers to help run the event. Among other volunteers, we are looking for 5 judges, so if you would like to be a judge please sign up! Judges should have a technical background and CAN come from outside our Sequoia community.

• 1 volunteer to assist students with the microscopy demonstration, 5:30-8pm
• 1 volunteer to facilitate an online meeting with SLOOH between their representative and the students, 5:45-8pm
• 5 slots open to judge the projects from 3:00 - 5:30 pm, plus one short orientation zoom meeting to go over the process
