The East Bay Academy for Young Scientists (EBAYS) is based at the Lawrence Hall of Science at UC Berkeley.
Their goal is to help under-resourced youth do hands-on science field work while hearing about scientists' educational and professional paths and discovering what careers might be open to them.
EBAYS is seeking a Scientist from LBNL who would be interested in chatting with students. They are looking for scientists that would like to dedicate a an hour to chat and/or give a presentation about their work. This will be a panel style talk, with a discussion/presentation and time for questions from students.
This event can be a Zoom session, but the students will be meeting in person for field work at Lake Merritt and would be happy to have scientists come into the field with them.
The program runs weekdays from June 27th - July 11th (excluding July 4th), from 10 AM - 4 PM.
If you are interested and available, please respond to this opportunity and email Jacari Scott JScott@lbl.gov regarding your availability.
