Join thousands of California volunteers who will help clean up local beaches, bays, and waterways during the 39th annual Coastal Cleanup Day.
All volunteers will meet at the Shorebird Park Nature Center at the Berkeley Marina at 9am, to receive a safety talk and supplies. Parking is limited, so explore taking a bike, carpool, or public transportation (AC Transit, bus 51B). Cleanup activities will take place from 9am-12pm, along the Berkeley Waterfront as well as Aquatic Park.
Volunteers will also help compile data about trash and marine debris for one of the largest research projects in the world.
If you are able, please help us to reduce plastic waste by bringing your own supplies:
- Bring a bucket or reusable bag
- Bring a lightweight pair of gardening gloves
- Bring a filled, reusable water bottle
Otherwise, buckets, bags, and gloves will be available for volunteers. Please email joselyn@lbl.gov if you have any questions about the event.
