Berkeley Lab’s Lambda Alliance has led the effort to represent the Lab at the San Francisco Pride Celebration since 2017. The Lambda Alliance is once again partnering with the Labs’ Government and Community Relations Office to participate in the 2023 SF Pride Celebration.
The SF Pride Celebration attracts thousands of attendees, and it is a valuable way for Berkeley Lab to share with the local community more about who we are and what we do. That's where you come in. As a volunteer in the Lab’s booth, you will:
- Serve as an ambassador for Berkeley Lab and its scientific research,
- Help explain some hands-on demos and displays,
- Discuss ways that people can engage with and support the Lab (career and internship opportunities),
- Collect contact information for “Elements”, Berkeley Lab's community newsletter, and
- Field any questions we get from visitors to our booth.
