Rebuilding Together East Bay North (RTEBN) is proud to work with Youth Homes, a non-profit that provides a broad scope of services designed to empower young people and their families to create positive, sustainable change. Youth Homes’ facility in Lafayette is in need of a new fence, and RTEBN is looking for volunteers to help build the fence on Saturday, August 27th. Skilled labor and the ability to work with hand tools are preferred, but not required. Once registered, we will follow up with more information regarding safety protocols.
Project Bio: Since 1965, Youth Homes has empowered current and former foster youth, young adults with complex behavioral health challenges, and under-resourced children at risk of entering the foster care system in Contra Costa County. Their 7 unique impactful youth programs create opportunities for youth to process and heal from trauma, develop self-sufficiency and confidence, build supportive networks, and create healthy, safe, and meaningful lives.
PPE/Supplies on site: N95 mask, work gloves, surgical gloves, first aid kit.
COVID Protocol: There will be N95 masks on site, but we will have a mask optional policy since the build will be outside.
Shifts: The project will be broken down into two shifts. Please note: lunch will be provided for the morning shift, and snacks will be provided for the afternoon shift.
