Description

Berkeley Lab is participating in the 2022 SF Pride Parade on Sunday, June 26th and we hope to have 100 volunteers help us represent the Department of Energy’s collective commitment to diversity in a very public way. You will be marching alongside the Lab’s pride parade float and representing Berkeley Lab. All are welcome to march with us, so please feel free to bring your friends and family to march as a community that supports our commitment to science and diversity.

Please arrive as early as 10:45am. We expect all marchers to be there no later than 12pm.

If you plan to bring family and friends to march at the parade, please let us know by adding a note when you select one of the shifts. Once you respond to the opportunity you will see a box that says “additional volunteer information.” Please add all names of family/friends that will be joining us at the event so that we have an accurate headcount.

Things to keep in mind:

  • This will be an outdoor event, however, please bring a mask in the event one is needed
  • Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated
  • Wear comfy shoes
  • Bring sunblock and/or wear a hat to protect you from the sun
  • There will be limited bathrooms along the marching route, please plan accordingly
