The Lambda Alliance ERG is participating in the 2026 SF Pride Parade on Sunday, June 28th, and we hope to have 100 participants to help us celebrate this year. You will be marching alongside our pride parade float and Lab Shuttle. All are welcome to march with us, so please feel free to bring your friends and family to march as a community that supports our commitment to inclusive science.
If you plan to bring family and friends to march in the parade, let us know by adding a note. Once you respond to the opportunity, you will see a box that says “additional volunteer information.” Please add all names of family/friends who will be joining us at the event so that we have an accurate headcount.
Please note: All employees are responsible for ensuring friends and family are adhering to the parade’s participation guidelines for this event, which will be sent to marchers in a separate email.
Safety Training (REQUIRED): All participants must complete a 5-minute safety training before the event. An email with a link to the training will be shared with you closer to the date.
Things to keep in mind:
- This will be an outdoor event
- Bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated
- Wear comfy shoes
- Bring sunblock and/or wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun
- There will be limited bathrooms along the marching route, so please plan accordingly
Time: Step-off time will be shared closer to the date
Location: Beale Street & Market Street* (this is an approx. location based on previous years)
The closest BART station is the Embarcadero Station. BART will be busy so please plan ahead and pick an early train!
